Rotate or flip a video online
Fix a video that plays sideways or upside down, or mirror it. Rotate in 90° steps, preview the result and download an MP4, all in your browser.
How to rotate a video
- 1
Choose your video
Drop it on “Drop your video here” or tap “Choose file”. The “Resize & rotate” tab opens for you.
- 2
Rotate or mirror
Tap “Rotate left” or “Rotate right”. Each tap turns the video 90°, and the button shows the angle (90°, 180° or 270°). Tap “Mirror” to flip it left to right, or “Reset” to start again.
- 3
Check the preview
The live preview shows the rotated video. Keep “Original” as the format, or choose “Reels” to fit it into 9:16.
- 4
Download
With “Full video” selected under “Split into clips” (the default), you get one rotated MP4. Tap “Download”, or “Save to gallery” on a phone.
Fixing a sideways phone video
Phone videos sometimes play on their side, for example when the phone was turned while recording. If the picture leans to the left, tap “Rotate right” once. If it leans to the right, tap “Rotate left” once. If it is upside down, tap either button twice for 180°.
Rotate vs Mirror
Rotate turns the whole picture around its center. Mirror flips it left to right, like looking in a mirror. Mirror is useful for selfie videos where the text or the scene looks reversed.
You can use both together. For example, rotate 90° and mirror in one export.
Rotating and resizing together
Rotation is applied before resizing. So you can turn a sideways video upright and then choose “Reels” (9:16), “Instagram Post” (4:5) or “Facebook Post” (1:1) on the same tab. The new size is based on the upright picture.
Tips for rotating
- Keep the format on “Original” if you only want to fix the rotation.
- A 90° turn swaps width and height, so a wide video becomes tall.
- Not sure which way to turn? Tap a button and look at the preview. Tap “Reset” if it is wrong.
- On a phone, use “Save to gallery” to put the fixed video back in Photos or Gallery.
