Add text to a video
Put a title, a caption or a short message on your video. Pick a style, position and size, check the live preview and download an MP4. You can also number split clips like “Part 1/5”.
How to add text to a video
- 1
Choose your video
Drop it on “Drop your video here” or tap “Choose file”. The “Text & logo” tab opens for you.
- 2
Type your text
Under “Text on video”, type up to 100 characters. Long text wraps onto up to 4 lines.
- 3
Pick style, position and size
Choose one of the 3 styles, then Top, Middle or Bottom, and size S, M or L. The live preview shows the result.
- 4
Download
With “Full video” selected under “Split into clips” (the default), you get one MP4 with your text. Tap “Download”, or “Save to gallery” on a phone.
Choosing a text style
There are 3 styles: white text on a dark box, white text with a black outline (like TikTok captions), and dark text on a white box. The boxes keep text easy to read on busy or bright videos. The outline style looks lighter and works well on most videos.
Part numbers for split videos
If you split a long video into parts, tick “Add a part number to each clip”. Each clip then shows a label like “Part 1/5”, so viewers know the order. You can change the word before the number and place it at the Top or Bottom.
Part numbers only appear when there are 2 or more clips. If your text and the part number are on the same edge, they stack instead of covering each other.
What the text can and cannot do
The same text shows on every clip for the whole clip. It is good for a title, a hook or a name. It cannot show different captions at different times, and there is no font picker or animation.
Tips for text on video
- Keep it short. A few words are easier to read on a phone screen.
- For Reels and TikTok, avoid the very bottom, where the app shows its own buttons and captions. Top or Middle is often safer.
- Use size L for a short title and S or M for a longer line.
- Add your logo on the same tab under “Logo / watermark”.
