Add music to a video
Add a song or a voiceover to your video. Replace the original sound or mix both, choose which part of the song plays, and add fades. Everything runs in your browser.
How to add music to a video

Choose your video
Drop it on “Drop your video here” or tap “Choose file”. The “Music” tab opens for you.

Import your audio
Tap “Import voice or music” and choose an MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV or OGG file. “Remove original sound” is ticked for you, so the new audio replaces the old.

Choose the part and volume
Move the From and To sliders to pick which part of the song plays, and tap “Play selection” to listen. Set “Music volume” and turn on “Fade in & out on each clip” if you like.

Download
With “Full video” selected under “Split into clips” (the default), you get one MP4 with the new sound. Tap “Download”, or “Save to gallery” on a phone.
Replace the audio or mix it
To replace the audio, keep “Remove original sound” ticked. Only your music or voiceover will play.
To keep the original sound under the music, untick “Remove original sound”. The original then plays at 40% volume. Change it with the “Original volume” slider, and set the music level with “Music volume”. This works well for a voice with soft background music.
Short songs and long videos
The music starts at the start of the video (or of the trimmed part). If the song is shorter than the video, turn on “Loop to fill the video” so it repeats until the end.
If you split the video into parts, the music continues across the parts in order, so part 2 picks up where part 1 ended.
Music and speed changes
If you change the video speed on the “Trim & split” tab, the imported music still plays at its normal speed over the faster or slower video.
Tips for adding music
- Use “Play selection” to start the song at its best part, like the chorus.
- Turn on “Fade in & out on each clip” so the music does not start or stop suddenly.
- Recorded a voiceover? Import it here and untick “Remove original sound” if you also want to keep the video's own sound quietly underneath.
- Only use music you have the rights to, especially for posts on social media.
- Want no sound at all? Tick “Remove original sound” and do not import any music.
